Quota increase for Filipino workers

2024-06-04

The Czech labor market is increasingly opening up to workers from the Philippines. From May 2024, the quota for Filipino workers increases to 10,300 per year. The priority of the Philippines is the safe and controlled migration of Filipinos to the Czech Republic which is governed by the labor regulations of both nations.

This fact was officially sealed by the signing of the so-called Joint Communiqué by the leading representative of the Philippine government institution DMW, Mr. Hans Leo Cacdac, and the deputy member of the government from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Mgr. Zuzana Freitas Lopesová. The presidents of the Czech Republic and the Philippines oversaw this act in person.
